ABOUT
Mike got his start in music as a guitar player. After a few years of playing he discovered symphonic metal through bands such as Nightwish and Dimmu Borgir. Along with the symphonic influences he also developed a fascination with progressive music and concept albums such as Dream Theaters "Metropolis: Part 2 Scenes from a Memory" and Porcupine Tree's "Fear of a Blank Planet". Writing in these styles provided him with the framework for his film composing career.
Eventually Mike got his first film gig scoring "Love Express" for Patrick Chen Xi Hao and won best original score for it in the Asians on film summer quarter in 2014. He has since scored ten short films as well as one video game with plenty more to come. You can hear all of his works on his YouTube Channel, Spotify, Soundcloud, and any other music service you may prefer.
